Think Systems and Structures
The challenges that people face rarely sit solely with the individual - we are all influenced by the systems within which we exist. As professionals, we work within formal systems (teams, organisations, networks and alliances) which often share responsibility for the wellbeing of service users with complex needs. No single person or service can meet the needs of these populations - complex problems and complex needs, require complex and multi-dimensional service responses.
At ThinkWell we highly value collaborative, respectful and thoughtful practices that demonstrate genuine “care” for both the client and the team members. We offer a range of services that build people’s awareness of common factors that come into play when professionals under pressure come together to make decisions about service users also under pressure. We recognise how identities shape experiences and acknowledge that some identities benefit from structural advantages while others do not. In our training we bring to the fore anti-oppressive, inclusive, and emotionally intelligent practices.
Our training includes:
- Collaborative professional practice - working together under pressure
- Leading a trauma informed workplace culture
- Creating a reflective culture
- Breaking down structural oppression - making diversity and inclusion meaningful
As part of our Think Quick series we also offer 1 to 2 hour sessions focusing on various elements of working within systems - get in touch to learn more about these.
