Progress as a society relies on our innate ability to live and work together in strong and productive groups. Why then do we so often struggle to form cohesive, functional teams, especially when experiencing pressure, and doing complex work?
This workshop explores some challenges that commonly emerge when working in teams by drawing on theoretical explanations of group process and human behaviour.
We apply an easily understood neurobiological lens to make sense of the problems that can emerge in team dynamics – such as divided alliances, unequal participation and poor engagement – as well as possible solutions and helpful approaches.
Participants will walk away better equipped to assess and understand difficulties in team functioning. We aim for you to feel more confident knowing how to build better regulated, self-aware work groups, as well as how to intervene when things go awry.
Target Audience: Leadership, supervisors and practitioners.
Duration: Full or half day
Location: on-line or in-person
