Bachelor of Social Work (Hons) | AASW member

Jessamy entered the social work profession because of her deeply held belief that our lives become collectively better when we take good care of each other, and the world around us. This career decision has so far facilitated a two-decades long adventure, with Jessamy working in a variety of therapeutic and leadership roles across Australia, and in the UK.

Her partnership in ThinkWell is the culmination of this hard-earned practice expertise. Her multiple roles supporting and supervising clinical staff have provided her with exceptional insight into the most effective ways to support professionals to thrive and succeed, even in the face of challenge and occupational trauma.

Jessamy is a highly skilled and approachable community services professional with over 22 years experience in program and practice leadership roles. She has worked in complex and demanding environments spanning child and family services, forensics, mental health and more. Her recent work as an expert speaker, trainer and consultant in the child trauma space means that she is a familiar face for many across our professional sector.

Known for her creative and engaging style, Jessamy can make even the heaviest professional development content feel manageable. She credits this to two decades of consolidated professional experience in people management, program development, clinical supervision and group facilitation.

Jessamy’s goal in her work with ThinkWell is to use ethical, enjoyable brain-based approaches to support and up-skill professional teams, so they can operate at their very best and contribute to a more connected and safer world, for us all.
