Beyond Blue
What we did:
ThinkWell partnered with Beyond Blue’s executive team to support the development of a shared, trauma-informed approach to leadership, wellbeing, and organisational culture.
We began with targeted consultation conversations with senior leaders to understand the context they were working within, their leadership challenges, and their aspirations for culture and sustainability. This helped us tailor the work to Beyond Blue’s specific organisational pressures and values.
From there, we designed and delivered a series of three interactive, three-hour workshops for the executive team. Each session blended evidence-based content, facilitated reflection, and practical application, creating space for honest dialogue and shared learning.
The workshops focused on:
- Building a common understanding of trauma, stress, and the neurobiology of threat and safety
- Exploring how trauma and chronic stress can show up in organisational systems and leadership cultures
- Supporting leaders to reflect on their own leadership impact, decision-making, and “leadership shadow”
- Strengthening psychological safety, accountability, and sustainable performance in high-pressure environments
The program concluded with a dedicated implementation session, supporting leaders to translate insight into action. Together, we identified concrete next steps and agreed on how trauma-informed principles would be embedded into everyday leadership practice.
This work supported Beyond Blue’s Executive Team to develop a shared language, stronger alignment, and practical strategies for leading well in complex, emotionally demanding work.
What they said:
ThinkWell Consultancy’s series of executive workshops brought new depth to the way our leadership team understands the dynamics of trauma experiences, occupational stress, and wellbeing and resilience in the workplace.
The sessions were expertly facilitated by Jessamy and Clare, blending evidence and insight with practical strategies tailored for our organisational context. Stepping out of the day to day and spending time learning together helped us as a team, and reinforced our commitment to lead with compassion, clarity, and confidence.
These workshops didn’t just raise awareness – we now have a shared language and concrete frameworks to build from. We now feel better equipped to lead through the constant change and uncertainty that’s facing every workplace and its people.
